It's really easy to sync the video with the GPS track. I love how it adds graphics to videos from my GPS data. The VIRB Elite does a lot more but this one will suit my needs. 720p is probably good enough but I haven't tested that resolution yet. Apparently I can only fit 1 hour 43 minutes on my 16 GB card. From my personal experience with both Garmin and GoPro customer service, Garmin wins by wide margin. VIRB Edit uses Media Foundation, a Windows Media API, to export MP4 files which has a file size limitation of 4 gigabytes (GB) on Windows 7, but should not. If the file is too big, the export may fail. They use a lot of space at this resolution. The Garmin VIRB Edit and Mobile apps have come a long way, and are now very good control and editing tools. High detail and long length will increase the length of time it takes to export and/or upload a video. Image stabilisation is awful though so I'll put up with some shake for now. I plan on buying a new helmet soon anyway. dat flight data log but do not know what. I tested the camera on cycle paths which aren't very smooth so there was some shake but some of that could be my helmet being a bit loose as it's a little on the large side. I used to have a bebop and was able to get flight data, could extract gpx files, input them with video to garmins vibr edit program. Connecting it to the PC with Garmin Express running got the camera updated to the latest software. The camera does feel heavy when mounted on the helmet but I'll get used to it.
